Yezdi 175 - A tough bike that is not tough on you...... My First ever complete construction of a Motorcycle

The Yezdi 175 Deluxe

Yes.....It has been 3 years now since I has asked Shannu to open up the motorcycle that was lying in his garage for more than a decade, Shannu... most of you might not be familiar of him, and most of you would know him. He is the second best thing to happen to me in my life. I am sure people would debate on this... but I sincerely believe that he is the second best thing to happen to me in my life.  The first best thing is the Yezdi Roadking, my first ever motorcycle I bought from my hard earned money. I have toiled night and day for this bike.
They say in the past there were a lot people or great men who had their lives hidden in some birds or their pet animals. I have also heard of a story my mother used to narrate about a demon having his life in his pet Parrot. Call me a human being or demon.. I have life in my motorcycles. My motorcycles have given me more than what people around, me or near and dear ones have given to me in my life.

Coming back the the topic I have been talking about.. The Yezdi 175 Deluxe had always been parked out side Shannu's garage and nobody would notice it. Initially I did not realise it was a Yezdi 175.... the Yezdi 175 CC was a lesser known motorcycle amongst it's big brothers the Yezdi 250 Series. I too am waiting for this guy to come out on the roads after it is completely restored. I am confident it would for sure live up to my expectations.
Like I had earlier said it has been 3 years since this bike is opened up and the bike was missing a lot of parts, Shannu and me have taken all the pains to look for all the spares in the shivaginagar gujri and found them and stored them in gunny bags to restored on a later date and was waiting for the Almighty to shower some money on me to that I could start the restoration. The showering never happened and I kept waiting.

A few incidents in my life made me realise that some people simply do not respect the time and money we spend for or on them because they do not value our presence in their life.. no matter how much ever money or time we spend for them though they being a integral part of life... there is no use. The money is loitered around carelessly. It also made me realise that money spent on motorcycles is never wasted or loitered... thought they do not expect you to do any thing for the motorcycles, they still give you more than what you deserve from them, This is the love of motorcycles to wards their riders giving more than what is deserved to the other person. this characteristic of the motorcycle the greatest invention of man kind.
May be God made man... he then made women and for the men he made the motorcycles. He knew motorcycles would never give up on their owners who take good care of them.

Thus started the Project Yezdi 175 Deluxe, The tinkering work of the body parts are in progress.. the tinkerer has promised me to give them all to me on 2nd November. I waiting for this day because after this day.. the actual work of beautifying of the little fellow would start. He would painted to a majestic color the other metal parts would be chromed or zincked. New stickers would be stuck up on the. I am waiting for this kid to come up the block and thunder the streets of Bangalore. I am sure will put up some pics of this fellow soon. I would like to close this by post with a very popular saying by Burt Munro - “You live more in five minutes on a motorcycle like that, going flat out, than some people live in a lifetime.”
